Misamis Occidental celebrates success of Northern Mindanao Athletic Meet

 


Misamis Occidental--The Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Meet, hosted by Misamis Occidental, has been hailed a resounding success, as the province celebrated the achievements of its athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers who played pivotal roles in making the event a grand success.

In his closing remarks, the Governor of Misamis Occidental congratulated everyone involved, saying, "From planning to execution, we've exceeded expectations. Misamis Occidental has embraced the challenge, and we’re proud of what we've accomplished together."

The event brought together 11 delegations from Northern Mindanao, each demonstrating exceptional talent, sportsmanship, and determination. The Governor commended the athletes for their hard work, whether on the podium or supporting their teammates. "You have all made your provinces proud and embodied the true spirit of competition," the Governor added.

The vital roles of coaches and officials were also acknowledged. "Coaches, your commitment to shaping not just athletes but individuals of strong character is commendable," said the Governor. "Officials, your dedication ensured everything ran smoothly, and we thank you for that."

The Governor also expressed gratitude to the local government officials and communities in Misamis Occidental for their unwavering support and hospitality, making the event a memorable one.

As the event concluded, the Governor wished the Province of Bukidnon success as they prepare to host the 2026 Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Meet. "We look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence in sports," he said.

He also expressed deep gratitude to all who made the event possible. "On behalf of the people of Misamis Occidental, thank you for trusting us to be your host. We hope to see all of you again in the future."(SN/PGMO)
